A Hen Party with a Difference

Holiday Cottage News, by Veronica.

Are you looking for somewhere different for a more civilised hen party? Why not consider a self-catering cottage? Many UK holiday lets are in beautiful locations and are wonderful for a short break with friends. Whether you are looking for a property that is close to the sea or near a pub and restaurants or somewhere that has activities to keep you all busy, it’s worth looking at the self-catering options.

More and more we are finding that people would rather have their ‘own’ space than stay in a large hotel and therefore a cottage is the perfect solution. There are many beautifully decorated properties with a wide range of facilities and the latest technology – so you can even have your own cinema evenings, sometimes even catered for and to top it all you don’t have to worry about driving home!

On WhichCottage you can browse through the areas at your leisure and find a range of properties that would suit all your needs. Many holiday cottages have activities on site such a tennis court, hot tub or swimming pool. Close to the properties it is often possible to try out golf, riding, sailing, canoeing or even skiing to name but a few! Alternatively, perhaps you fancy a day out at the races? Many holiday lets can be found close to race courses so that you can enjoy the day out and return to the luxury of your holiday cottage. One such property is St Swithins Cottage in Berkshire which is under a mile from a vineyard so every excuse to sample the local bubbly or enjoy a special tour of the vineyard. Alternatively a boat trip on the Thames can be organised if you would like a more relaxed outing – the owners really have thought of it all.

It may be that all you really want is some to time to relax and catch up with your friends – some cottage owners can even organise outside caterers to take the pressure off the weekend break. Take a look now and create a weekend to remember! Happy Hen Party!
