A little piece of the Orient in Central Scotland

Cowden Garden is a stunning Japanese garden near Dollar which has recently been restored. Originally built in the early 20th Century by Ella Christie a Scottish adventurer, it was designed by a Japanese garden designer, Taki Handa, who originally studied at the Royal School of Garden Design at Nagoya.

The garden is a tranquil combination of paths and walkways weaving their way through trees and shrubs which are planted around a central lake.

Nearby Arndean Estate has two cottages which offer the perfect accommodation for your visit to Cowden Garden. Recently decorated and with new heating systems Blashie Cottage and Ochil Cottage are the ideal self-catering holiday properties.

As well as being near the garden, the cottages are in a perfect location for visiting a whole host of attractions across the central belt. From Edinburgh and Glasgow to The Trossachs and Loch Lomond.

Why not book your stay in one of these idyllic holiday homes today.
